This is a fictional work created for a module called "Kinetic Graphics" that I studied in my first and second year in Temasek Polytechnic. The assignment required us to create a website and subsequent
video advertisement. 
 
THE BRIEF:
Part 1: Create an e-commerce website on wix
Part 2: Create a video advertisement for the website

THE WEBSITE:
For my website, I decided to create a perfume e-commerce website. Thus, the website would be a fully functional website that allowed viewers to view and purchase perfumes on the website. Instead of any perfume, I decided to choose only luxury perfumes from luxury brands to sell. Thus, because of the nature of said perfumes, the people that I decided to target were adults who were financially stable. Thus, after a bit of research, I used regal colours like gold and scarlet as the main colour scheme for my website. This allowed me to set the mood for the website, sexy and elegant. Lastly, to enhance the classy feel of the website, I decided to name the e-commerce store "en Blanc".

THE VIDEO ADVERTISEMENT:
For the video advertisement, I had to create a video that had the same mood and feel as the original website: sexy, classy and elegant. This was to maintain consistency and allow people to easily associate the video to the website. This was particularly hard for me as I had to create a more mature themed video without making it raunchy or scandalous. Thus, I decided to make the video sort of a story that centers around the romance of a couple. To make the video fit the theme of the website more, I changed the colours of the video to a vintage brown, which really brought out the mystery and sexiness in the video.

THE REFLECTION:
If not for this module, I would not have been able to fully explore Adobe After Effects and its functions. This was the first time I was taught Adobe After Effects and video animation. At first, it was really difficult and I could not grasp the techniques well. However, I am thankful that I had this module because it taught me that through grit, anything is possible. I was quite lost at first, not knowing how I ended up with such a mature theme but in the end, it worked out and now I am more proficient in both Adobe After Effects and Adobe
Premier Pro.​
